The launch of the WSR was a great success and mind-blowing, as guests gave their words of support towards the success of the program/project.
Hon.Commissioner of Children and Women Affairs, Director of Women and Children Affairs, Deputy Commandant NSCDC, Representatives from some tertiary institutes in Sokoto State, Councils of Ulama Chairman Sokoto, Role Models, Woman Leaders, Media representatives, and Student representatives. All supported the idea and are willing to help in creating awareness in the issues of enhancing women’s participation in political processes and decision-making in Sokoto State.
Chairman of the Ulama Sokoto State said; they are in full support and will help in creating more awareness especially from the grassroots and religious wise. While the Deputy Commandant NSCDC said; women should support women as it is the only way men will give their full support, men should also support women and also pushed them to do more. The students also appreciate sponsors of the project and are grateful that they saw the need to help build up their capacities.
Women are like school because women are caretakers, women are the first teachers anyone could get, bless with the ability to manage the affairs of the home, the children, husbands, organizations, institutions, communities, and country if given the opportunity. The Provost of College of Nursing Sokoto State said; during the visit by some selected role models, media representatives, and women leaders.
During the advocacy visit, he gave room to some of the students running for offices in the Students Union Government to air their views on the issues of women supporting women and men supporting women with no prejudice. The male students gave their words to support any female student that will come out in the year 2023 for the office of the SUG President.
Let’s all give women the opportunity to explore their God-given talents because women can be more!!
