Overview of the Stabilization and Resilience Building Project in Partnership with SIF and LHI

The Stabilization and Resilience Building Project, jointly implemented by Secours Islamique France (SIF) and Life Helpers Initiative (LHI), seeks to address critical vulnerabilities and foster sustainable resilience in Zamfara State. Targeting communities affected by insecurity and economic challenges, the project focuses on three main areas: vocational skills development, support for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), and community peacebuilding.

Key Interventions:

1. Vocational Skills Development:

   • Establishing vocational training centers to empower beneficiaries with market-relevant skills, enabling them to achieve economic independence.

2. Support for GBV Survivors:

   • Providing comprehensive care for GBV survivors, including psychosocial support, economic empowerment initiatives, and access to essential services.

3. Community Peacebuilding Initiatives:

   • Facilitating dialogue sessions among community members to promote social cohesion, strengthen relationships, and address conflict-related tensions.

Implementation Approach:

• Strategic Partnerships: Leveraging collaborations with local stakeholders and community leaders to ensure interventions are culturally appropriate and impactful.
• Capacity Building: Strengthening local structures and enhancing community capacity to sustain positive outcomes beyond the project's duration.
• Focus on Vulnerable Groups: Prioritizing women and youth in conflict-affected areas to drive inclusive development and long-term resilience.

This partnership combines LHI’s deep local knowledge and relationships with SIF’s international expertise, creating a holistic and effective model for fostering stability and resilience. By addressing immediate vulnerabilities and empowering communities with sustainable solutions, the project paves the way for lasting positive change in Zamfara State.
