A vision takes root

The beginning of a heartfelt mission! Life Helpers Initiative (LHI) began as Beulah Projects, a passionate response to the needs of orphans and vulnerable children in Sokoto State. These children, often overlooked during national and religious celebrations, were given hope through funfairs, parties, and inclusive events. This year laid the foundation for what would become a transformative journey.

Structured for Growth
Structured Beginnings

LHI officially established its headquarters in Sokoto on October 1. The expansion of services beyond events required a legal framework, evolved from informal support to a legally recognized entity, leading to its transformation from Beulah Projects to Life Helpers Initiative (LHI) providing a strong foundation for structured interventions. By 2007, it became fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission and aligned with key government agencies and civil society networks.

Foundation for Impact

Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2007, LHI began building partnerships with agencies like the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and the State Emergency Management Agency.

Expanding Horizons
Kebbi Comes on board

LHI extended its reach to Kebbi State, marking the first significant geographical expansion beyond Sokoto. This move demonstrated the organization's growing capacity to serve marginalized communities across borders.

Strengthening the base
Zamfara joins the mission

With a focus on addressing the needs of marginalized groups, LHI established its presence in Zamfara State, further solidifying its commitment to lead as a regional NGO in community support and development, serving even more marginalized populations.

10 years of dedication

LHI celebrated its 10th anniversary, reflecting on a decade of unwavering commitment to empowering vulnerable populations. The milestone highlighted the journey from a small passion project to a recognized force for good.

A new chapter begins
Northeast Expansion

LHI expanded its operations to Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa States, addressing urgent needs in conflict-affected areas through health, education, and livelihood programs.

Bauchi welcome LHI

Impacting Ebonyi state

The organization made its first entry into Southeast Nigeria, establishing a presence in Ebonyi State. This strategic move demonstrated the organization's agility in tackling diverse regional and national challenges, focusing on health, education, and livelihood empowerment in marginalized communities, making the organization a leading national NGO from a regional organization.

Plateau state partnership

LHI expanded its footprint into Plateau State, building on its mission to enhance community resilience and disaster risk reduction. This strategic move positioned the organization for new opportunities, driving growth and impactful change.

NIDAKE: Reusable Sanitary Pad

This mission-driven, not-for-profit social enterprise was launched to address the lack of affordable menstrual hygiene products for women and girls. By providing reusable, eco-friendly sanitary pads, NIDAKE empowers women to manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence
